Description

Swing from the tree’s like a real monkey! With our fantastically fun Monkey Swing!

The Monkey swing is perfect for use by both children and adults. A single rope allows the swing to move and spin in every direction!

The Monkey Swing

Just as all of our other swings are, Monkey swings are lovingly handcrafted in our Suffolk workshop. The swings are planed to a thickness of 48mm and have a gentle rounding on all edges.
Seat dimensions: 340 x 160 x 48mm.
Although designed for children, adults too can enjoy our monkey swings, the gentle rounding on all edges make them comfy as well being large enough to have a name or phrase carved on.

The rope

The Monkey swing is fitted with a single 18mm synthetic hemp rope. This can be secured to the seat with a standard knot or a ‘pull loop’. Synthetic hemp is just as strong as natural hemp whilst still being soft to the touch. The rope is extremely durable and lasts far longer than natural hemp may, as it doesnt rot.

Letter carving

The thickness of the Monkey swing means its great to have lettering carved onto. The front and back of the seat can personalised with a carved name, phrase, message or date! A proof image of the carving is sent and agreed upon before the seat actually gets carved, this is to ensure the swing looks exactly as you would like it too.

Finish

Our tree swings are left bare sanded, allowing the swing to weather naturally, turning them a wonderful silvery grey with time. Small shakes/cracks may appear in the seat which add to its character with time. Oak is a very durable hardwood and can spend many years outside without the need to apply a finish.

An oiled finish (OSMO or Rustins) is available on special request.

Delivery

Delivery is free for all of our tree swings. The courier we use can be tracked using a live map, as well as this there are many different options, for example you can request to have the swing left in a safe place. Usually Monkey swings are delivered within 2-5 working days from your order however this can sometimes vary.  If you need your swing by a certain date please get in touch as we can usually help!

Horizon Swing Seat

We purchased a swing seat just under a year ago and decided to leave the wood natural without any oil seal.  It has matured to a lovely silver grey oak colour and looks very good.  We are absolutely delighted with the product – it is robust and comfortable to sit on.  The whole process of specifying, ordering and payment to MR Woodcraft was simple and efficient.  The product was delivered when it was promised and Matt came down to our house to assemble it.  It only took a couple of hours to assemble and was done very efficiently.
