The Woodland Tree Swing. Chunky, rustic and perfect for personalising with a name or phrase!

Woodland tree swings are made from the finest quality, seasoned English Oak boards. The swings are planed and finished to a thickness of 48mm, meaning there is no need for cross bracing on the underside of the seat. The Woodland tree swing has been designed to have a more rustic appearance. A small rounding on all edges and corners of the swing give them the popular chunky appearance.

The seat itself

Every one of our tree swings are made by hand in our Suffolk workshop, from seasoned board to the finished product. Every swing is lovingly crafted with keen attention to detail. Finished to a thickness of 48mm, the Woodland is strong enough to be enjoyed by not only the children of the family but the adults too! The slightly rounded edges make the swing comfortable to use whilst retaining the swings square and bold appearance. The seat comes finished in Exterior Danish oil as standard, but can be varnished or left bare sanded.

Sizes

The Woodland tree swing is available in 6 different sizes, meaning there is a size to suit every member of the family. From swings children can use, to an adult swing made for two! We guarantee there will be a size to fit, ranging from Junior size right up to Double Adult:

The ropes

Synthetic hemp ropes are used throughout our entire tree swing range, the Woodland is no exception, with its tough 18mm hempex ropes. The rope we use is made by the Master Ropemaker’s at the historic dockyard in Chatham. The rope is extremely durable and won’t rot like natural hemp rope might. It is soft to touch, and looks and feels exactly like natural hemp, with the added durability. The ropes are all spliced by hand, cut to your desired lengths and fitted to the seat in our Suffolk workshop. They can be fitted to the seat with large round knots, or with a clean spliced loop.

Letter carving

The thickness of the Woodland, coupled with its smaller rounded edges, means it is the perfect swing to have personalised. The seat can be carved with a name, phrase, date or special message. We can also offer signs and symbols too! We can carve onto the front and back edges, as well as the top or bottom of the seat. A proof image of the carving is sent and agreed upon before the seat actually gets carved, this is to ensure the swing looks exactly as you would like it too.

Finish

Our tree swings are finished with three coats of Danish Oil as standard. Danish oil enhances the natural beauty of the oak as well as helping protect the swing. There are also two other finish options available. Your swing can be coated in four coats of exterior Satin Varnish, providing slightly enhanced durability. Or it can be left bare sanded, allowing the swing to weather more rapidly, turning it a beautifully natural silvery grey colour over time.

Delivery

Delivery is free throughout the entire range of our tree swings. The courier can be tracked on a live map with some ‘inflight’ delivery options.  We try our best to deliver swing within 5 working days from your order, however this can sometimes vary. Swings with letter carving on sometimes take a little longer, whilst proof images are approved. If delivery is required by a certain date please do contact us and let us know.
